Dr. Meisinger has extensive expertise in medical system transformation with a focus on primary care, value-based care and high functioning team development. She has designed, implemented and taught numerous learning collaboratives at the national level in multiple countries. She was National Faculty Co-Chair for the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) initiative “Transforming Clinical Practices Initiative” (TCPi), and co-chair of the CMS ICOAG Affinity Group. She is a founding member of the Health Equity Collaborative. Dr. Meisinger was a faculty expert for Australia’s national Health Care Home Initiative, their national program for primary care practice transformation. She is faculty in Brazil for the national primary care transformation project to establish the standards for primary care in the private sector and has ongoing projects in Nicaragua, Nepal and Mozambique.

Dr. Meisinger is the former Medical Staff President for the Cambridge Health Alliance (CHA), a current Regional Medical Director in Primary Care and the CHA Director of Provider Engagement. Dr. Meisinger has an active panel as a Family Doctor at the Union Square Family Health Center, a CHA practice, and has been Medical Director of the site since 2008. Union Square Family Health Center is a highly decorated Patient Centered Medical Home (PCMH) which in 2012 was selected a Robert Wood Johnson Foundation LEAP practice: one of 30 notable ambulatory care sites in the US.

She has faculty appointments at Harvard Medical School, Tufts University, and the MGH Institute of Health Professions. She is faculty lead at the Institute for Healthcare Improvement Latin American team and faculty on the Health Equity Fellows program of the Harvard School of Public Health as well as the Harvard Center for Primary Care.

Dr. Meisinger earned a BA from Brown University, her medical degree from Case Western Reserve University and completed a Family Medicine Residency at the Greater Lawrence Family Health Center in Lawrence, Massachusetts. She completed a Master of Health Care Delivery Science at Dartmouth University. 

She speaks fluent Portuguese, Spanish and French. She can get away with ordering food in German. She likes caring for living creatures in her home life as well and lives in Massachusetts with her husband and 3 children, a dog, and a huge garden.

Personally, I was born and raised in Albuquerque, New Mexico along with my five older siblings. After serving a two year church mission in the French speaking part of Switzerland and eastern France, I moved to Utah to attend Brigham Young University. I have remained in Utah ever since, where my wife, Tiera, and I are raising our four sons, ages 13 to 21. As a family we have enjoyed travel, outdoor recreation, and service together. I had the opportunity to spend time in Kathmandu and trek to Everest camp in 2017. Later that year, Tiera and I somewhat serendipitously found One Heart Worldwide while looking for some end of year giving opportunities. We have very much enjoyed getting to know Arlene and participating with OHW ever since.

Professionally, I am a computer software engineer by degree and employment. I spent eighteen years from 2002 to 2020 at TazWorks, a Draper, Utah-based background screening software company, building it up from a three man start-up to an industry leading platform with over seventy employees. During that time I went from being the entirety of the engineering department to leading a team of more than twenty-five engineers as the Chief Technology Officer. My business partner and I sold TazWorks to MeridianLink, a Costa Mesa, California-based digital lending, decisioning, and banking solutions company in December 2020. I have remained on at MeridianLink as a Vice President of Product.

Evan is a passionate entrepreneur and technology leader with nearly twenty years of experience in the CEO role. Evan’s career spans from creating startups in his own garage to leading NASDAQ-listed companies generating nearly $200m in annual revenue. Prior to InfluxData, Evan served as Executive in Residence at Trinity Ventures, and President and CEO at iPass Corporation (the leader in Global Wi-Fi connectivity) and Founder, Chairman and CEO at Aventail Corporation (the pioneer of SSLVPN’s, now part of the Dell Corporation).

Stephanie is an attorney with a rich background in international human rights and community-based public interest law, employment law and general litigation.

During the height of the COVID pandemic, Stephanie served as Vice President of Regulatory Affairs for Contour/ICU Health working with FDA, NIOSH and a team of experts to quickly bring much-needed PPE through the regulatory process under COVID emergency protocols. In that role, Stephanie also oversaw the company’s donations of tens of millions of pieces to of PPE both nationally and internationally.

Prior to that, Stephanie worked as a litigation associate at both Paul Hastings, Janofsky and Walker in San Diego and Heller Ehrman in San Francisco.

Stephanie also had the unique honor of serving as a law clerk for the late Honorable Judge David R. Thompson of the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals. There, she researched, analyzed and wrote legal memoranda advising the panel of Ninth Circuit judges on legal issues and recommended rulings in the cases before them.

Throughout her career, Stephanie maintained an active pro bono practice including successfully representing clients in their claims for asylum as well as handling indigent worker’s rights lawsuits and claims before the California Labor Commissioner.

While in law school, Stephanie had the opportunity to work, and to supervise junior law students’ work, in Ghana during two consecutive January-terms through a joint project with Stanford Law School, Harvard Law School, Harvard School of Public Health and the Ghanaian Legal Resource Centre.

Stephanie received her Juris Doctor from Stanford Law School in 2005. Prior to attending Stanford Law, Stephanie graduated with Highest Honors from the Honors College of Michigan State University in 2000.

Stephanie loves living in San Diego, California with her husband and two children. She is a Reiki Master/Teacher and currently runs her own Integrative Life Coaching and Healing Arts business.

Susannah Friedman is a humanitarian professional with two decades of experience across programs, operations, strategy, and policy. Most recently,  Susannah led the UN Refugee Agency's Strategic Planning and Analysis Unit, where she established new approaches to global level strategic planning and instituted the use of foresight to support data-driven planning and decision-making. Prior to her work with UNHCR, she led CARE’s Humanitarian Programming and Policy work, including at the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic. Susannah has led humanitarian responses across Asia and East Africa, including with CARE as Regional Emergency Coordinator for the Asia/Pacific region and Emergency Coordinator in Sudan, and as Save the Children’s Emergency Director for Somalia. For six years, Susannah was an adjunct faculty member of Columbia University’s School of International and Public Affairs, where she served as the Associate Director of the Humanitarian Affairs study track and taught graduate courses on humanitarian action. She started her career in international affairs as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Nepal, where she was a Water and Sanitation Volunteer.

Susannah holds a Master of International Affairs from Columbia University’s School of International and Public Affairs and a Bachelor of Arts in history from the University of Michigan. She lives in upstate New York with her husband and two daughters.

Anubha Rawat is a senior international development professional with over two decades of experience leading programmes, partnerships, and strategy across global health initiatives. Her expertise spans maternal, newborn, and child health (MNCH), women’s health, family planning, and health systems strengthening—particularly in South Asian and sub-Saharan African contexts. 

Anubha is currently the Projects Director at DAK International Network, a public charity focused on supporting and partnering with global communities that are disadvantaged. DAK primarily focuses on sub-Saharan Africa and Asia in four main areas: women’s health programmes, including birth injury repair and ultrasound task shifting programmes, family planning, restorative high-volume cataract surgery, and the distribution of medical equipment with a focus on oxygen and biomedical support systems. Anubha brings her experience and insights to a wide range of programmes supported by DAK and is passionate about programme development and initiatives that are championed at the local level. Her leadership has been instrumental in ensuring that these programmes are grounded in local realities and deliver sustainable, measurable outcomes. 

With a deep commitment to community-led development, Anubha brings valuable governance and strategic insight through her role as a Director at Partners for Equity (Australia), which works through local partners to provide aid to communities that are disadvantaged. Additionally, she lends her expertise as a Board Advisor of the Gould Family Foundation (USA), which supports innovative health interventions for poor and underserved populations in sub-Saharan Africa. 

Anubha serves on the Advisory Committee of the Australian International Development Network (AIDN), contributing to collaborative efforts between donors, philanthropists, corporates, and government to strengthen international development outcomes. She also extends her influence through Philanthropod, a podcast she hosts to promote smarter, more equitable giving in global health and development. 

She holds a Master’s degree in Child Development from Delhi University, a Graduate Diploma in International Studies from the University of Sydney, and is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, equipping her with strong governance, risk, and compliance acumen.

Dr. Steinberg served as a health policy official in the US Department of Health and Human Services (HHS). With her expertise inprimary health care, infectious disease, public health, and health policy, Dr. Steinberg led collaborative efforts across HHS and advanced federal policy and programs. 

She recently served as a Senior Advisor to the Assistant Secretary for Health and lead for the HHS Initiative to Strengthen Primary Health Care, which aims to improve the health of all people in our nation and health equity by strengthening the primary care foundation of our healthcare system.  

At HHS, Dr. Steinberg initially served as the Chief Medical Officer (CMO) of the Bureau of Primary Health Care, part of the Health Resources and Services Administration. As the clinical leader of our nation’s safety net program for primary care, she engaged clinical leaders at health centers nationwide to advance healthcare access, quality of care, HIV AIDS care, workforce well-being, and the integration of behavioral health and primary care. Later, she served as the CMO of the Office of Infectious Disease and HIV/AIDS Policy, part of the Office of the Assistant Secretary for Health. There, she provided clinical expertise and leadership in implementing the Ending the HIV Epidemic in the U.S. Initiative and developing national strategies on HIV/AIDS, viral hepatitis, sexually transmitted infections, and vaccines.

Before joining the federal government, Dr. Steinberg was Deputy CMO and Senior Director of the Office of Healthcare Innovation and Quality at the University of Massachusetts (UMass) Medical School’s Commonwealth Medicine division. There, Dr. Steinberg and her team supported Massachusetts healthcare reform, contributing to the design and implementation of new healthcare delivery and value-based payment models that included primary care transformation. Dr. Steinberg practiced primary care and infectious disease medicine at community health centers and safety net hospitals in MA for nearly 30 years.

Dr. Steinberg was an associate professor of medicine, and family medicine, and community health at UMass Medical School and an assistant professor of medicine at Boston University School of Medicine. She earned her medical degree from the University of Texas and completed a residency in internal medicine at Beth Israel Hospital in Boston, and an infectious disease fellowship at Beth Israel/Brigham and Women’s Hospitals in Boston. She was a Commonwealth Fund/Harvard University fellow in minority health policy and received a master’s degree in public health from Harvard University.

Over 40 years of experiences in global health and management. A lead voice for Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights, family planning and commodity security issues. Varied experiences and successes in leadership, resource mobilization, policy and advocacy, Government and donor relatIonships.

Spearheaded various new initiatives and global partnerships that successfully advanced UNFPA's mandate to achieve universal access to sexual and reproductive health and rights. Architect of the famous Maputo Plan of Action on Sexual and Reproductive Health (2006), the founding member of FP 2020 and the Reproductive Health Supplies Coalition. INitiated and/or promoted various key concepts to strength-en SRHR globally such as Demographic Dividend and Reproductive Health Commodity Security (RHCS). I was appointed as the co-Secretariat together with UNICEF for the Commodity Commission established by the UN Secretary General for life saving maternal and child health. During my tenure international community and donors have provided impressive support to UNFPA mandate. For several years lead together with USAID Country Engagement Work of the FP 2020 to provide support to countries to advance their family planning programme by bringing more resources, technical support and advocacy. 

Jessica is an attorney who has spent nearly two decades advocating on behalf of fraud victims. Most recently, she and her team secured a $951 million jury verdict, holding accountable some of those responsible for a massive fraud.

Jessica is very active in her community. She is the co-director of Young At Art, a non-profit organization that provides in-classroom art education to more than 5,000 pre-K to 8th grade students in the South Bay of Los Angeles. She serves on the Manhattan Beach Unified School District Advisory Committee. Jessica spent nearly eight years leading the philanthropy arm of West LA Parents of Multiples (Multiple Helpings), which provided donations and other support to parents of multiples in the Greater Los Angeles area.

Jessica graduated with distinction from Stanford Law School in 2005. While at Stanford, she co-developed and led a seminar: “Community Action for Social and Economic Rights.” Jessica spent two January terms putting the seminar’s work into action in Ghana, through a joint project with Stanford Law School, Harvard Law School, the Harvard School of Public Health and the Ghanaian Legal Resource Centre.

Jessica graduated summa cum laude from the Boston College Honors Program with a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics. She now lives in Manhattan Beach, California with her husband and twin daughters.

Born and raised in one of the very districts now served by OHW’s Network of Safety model, Mr. Bhatta is passionate about improving the lives of the most vulnerable in society. With a degree in Public Health, and advanced degrees in both Sociology and Healthcare Delivery, he is a dynamic health-development professional with more than 10 years of experience working in leadership roles within Nepal’s public health system to implement healthcare development interventions which prioritize the wellbeing of pregnant women, children, and disadvantaged communities. Involved with OHW since its inception in Nepal, Mr. Bhatta has grown alongside the program from an entry level Master Trainer to become its Country Representative, giving him a thorough understanding of the MNH environment in Nepal and its unique needs and solutions. During his tenure with OHW, he has played a critical role, no matter his title, in the program’s scale-up from the two original pilot districts to include coverage for 32 additional districts in the remote northern mountains.

Dr. Kristensen is a perinatal epidemiologist with over 30 years of experience implementing international capacity building programs. Born and raised in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Dr. Kristensen has previous work experience in Asia (Pakistan, Mongolia, mainland China, Tibet, and India), Eastern Europe (Russia and Ukraine) and Africa (Mali, Uganda, Zambia, Rwanda, DRC and Cameroon). Dr. Kristensen has held appointments in the Department of International Health and Development at the Tulane School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine; in the Department of Epidemiology and International Health at the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB); in the UAB Center for Community Health; in the Behavioral Core of the UAB Center for AIDS Research and in the Division of Geographic Medicine at UAB. Her research interests include reproductive health, safe motherhood; access to care for vulnerable populations; and psycho-social aspects of health.

Dr. Usha Jha is former member of National Planning Commission and a renowned leader in the field of women’s economic empowerment in Nepal. With a Ph.D. in Chemistry and extensive experiences in community development and social inclusion, Dr. Jha has spent over two decades working tirelessly to uplift marginalized communities in Nepal through a women owned and managed national level NGO - Samjhauta Nepal. Dr. Jha has also been a part of several national and international projects aimed at improving the quality of life for marginalized communities in Nepal. She has worked with organizations such as Pact International and UNFPA and partnered with organizations like Winrock, IDE, International Alert, Mission East, Care Nepal, Save the Children, The Global Fund and different government ministries for a period of more than fifteen years where she could develop a strong networking with donors like EU,USAID, World Bank, Rotary Club Germany and could develop a reach to more than 200,000 women in more than 40 districts of Nepal, connecting communities to the resources.

The major focus of her work has been empowering women farmers and organizing them into savings and literacy-led economic groups in order to decrease their economic dependency and integrating this to the different needs of women/community eg education, peace building and health. She brings an extensive experiences of teaching, research and management through her work as faculty at Institute of Agriculture and Animal Sciences (IAAS) in the Central Campus and also as a Campus Chief at the branch campus in IAAS, Lamjung.

In addition, she is a member of various committees, including the Steering Committee Member of South Asian Policy Leadership for Improved Nutrition and Growth (SAPLING), Board Member of Madan Bhandari Institute of Science and Technology (MOBUST) Development Board, and Women Advisory Group to the Ministry of Women, Children, and Social Welfare Kathmandu Nepal, a Civil Society Advisory Group of UN Women, Social Inclusion Research Fund (SIRF) and Program for Accountability in Nepal. She is continuously working for community friendly GESI approach with a team of national and international consultants. Dr. Jha’s dedication and tireless efforts have helped improve the lives of thousands of people in Nepal, and she continues to inspire others to work towards a better future.

Dr. Anil Shrestha did his medical education from Calcutta Medical College and completed his Post Graduation studies in Orthopedics from Tubingen, Germany. He was instrumental in establishing the Nepal Orthopedic Hospital in 1998, a 100 bedded not for profit hospital with the help of over 120 Rotary Clubs across the world and was its Medical Director till 2008 but worked there till 2016. 

He also helped establish the Spinal Injury Rehabilitation Centre, the only comprehensive rehab center in Nepal. He is currently the Vice Chairperson of the Board.

He then joined Nick Simons Institute as the Executive Director and just retired in August 2022. He has worked closely with Central, Provisional and local governments to improve the Health Services at government hospitals across the country. 

He is also an active Board member of the Nepal Ambulance Service and currently the General Secretary of the Board. He is a Rotarian since 2001 and is the Past President of Rotary Club of Kathmandu West. He is the only Rotary Medical Volunteer from Nepal who went to Sierra Leone in a Rotary Medical Mission in 2005.

He has received the Unsung Heroes of Compassion Award from Dalai Lama in 2005 for his contribution to humanitarian work in Nepal.

Achyut has achieved over three decades of experience in the development sector gaining practical knowledge in different kinds of rural infrastructure and livelihood programmes. He has acquired engineering as well as Social Sciences academic degrees.

He started his career in the government sector, but soon moved to the development sector in 1994 with Helvetas, a Swiss NGO and led three different water projects at different times until 2000, and at the later stage piloted a programme based on Integrated Water Resources Management Approach.

He was part of the core team involved in the design of a transport and livelihood programme of DFID in 2000-2001. Later he continued in implementation of same programme as Deputy Team Leader in the beginning and later as Team Leader until early 2006. He joined Practical Action, a UK based INGO as the Country Director of Nepal Programme in March 2006; and became South Asia Regional Director from 2012 till date. He has also served as the Chairperson of Association of INGOs working in Nepal (AIN), a network of about 150 INGOs working in Nepal between 2010 and 2012, and 2019 to 2021. He has also served as the adviser of Disaster Preparedness Network (DPNet) of Nepal. He is also steering committee member of Duryog Nivaran, a South Asia Regional Network on DRR. He has been the keynote speaker in several regional conventions and seminars in climate change, disaster risk reduction and development management issues organised in Bhutan, India, Nepal and Sri Lanka.
